The collaboration leverages Wego’s digital marketplace to showcase Azerbaijan’s diverse offerings, including wellness retreats, culinary heritage, and historical sites like Shaki. By integrating curated content and influencer partnerships, the campaign aims to capture the interest of GCC travelers specifically, focusing on the country’s ease of access and blend of contemporary and traditional experiences.
Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego, noted that the destination’s appeal lies in its ability to offer variety while maintaining a sense of comfort for regional visitors. Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, added that the partnership is designed to sustain visibility throughout the year by aligning with seasonal travel trends and shifting visitor preferences.
