Infineon Technologies pulled specific gallium nitride products from its display at the electronica China 2026 exhibition in Shanghai after intellectual property mediators intervened. The move followed a direct challenge from Innoscience, which identified the hardware as subject to an active court injunction prohibiting its sale and importation across mainland China.
Despite the Supreme Court's ruling, Infineon featured the restricted technology at its booth when the Shanghai trade show opened on July 1, 2026. Innoscience representatives immediately notified the Shanghai Pudong Intellectual Property Dispute People's Mediation Committee. After verifying the judicial orders and inspecting the booth, officials mandated the removal of the items. Innoscience stated that global semiconductor firms must adhere to Chinese judicial mandates, signaling that the company intends to continue aggressive enforcement of its intellectual property rights through global legal channels.
