Building on a decade of performance recognition, the new system is designed to service rooms up to 1,800 square feet. Engineering improvements include a 45% larger carbon filter and a 20% increase in HEPA filter size. The device integrates a MegaScan™ Laser Sensor capable of tracking PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 particles, providing users with live air quality data.
Coway Debuts Airmega Mighty2 With Dual Design Honors
The Airmega Mighty2 has secured both the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award for 2026, marking a significant evolution for Coway's flagship air purifier. Launched this past March, the unit updates the legacy of the original Mighty model with enhanced filtration and refined usability for modern living spaces.
Practical maintenance was a central focus of the redesign. Coway introduced a side-access pre-filter, allowing for cleaning without the need to displace the entire unit. The device also features automated modes, including an Eco setting and a light-sensitive Sleep mode that adjusts noise levels based on ambient darkness. Currently available in White and Beige, the purifier has already earned a "Top Pick" designation from Wirecutter, reinforcing its position in a competitive wellness tech market.
