Vero Fiber Networks Expands K-12 Reach With Velocity Fiber Acquisition

Denver-based infrastructure provider Vero Fiber Networks has completed its acquisition of Velocity Fiber, a specialized firm serving the K-12 E-Rate market across four states. This move integrates Velocity’s dedicated school district networks into Vero’s existing footprint, which now spans 27 states and over 370 markets.

The integration aims to bolster Vero’s foundational vertical by merging compatible fiber-optic infrastructures. According to the company, the transition will be transparent for current clients, ensuring that existing service levels and bandwidth commitments remain uninterrupted while benefiting from Vero’s broader operational resources.

Mary White, SVP of the E-Rate vertical at Vero, noted that the acquisition aligns with the firm’s long-standing focus on providing private, high-speed connectivity to educational institutions. By absorbing Velocity Fiber, Vero strengthens its position as a primary infrastructure partner for schools and libraries, building upon its portfolio of brands which includes FastTrack Communications and Clearnetworx. The company expects the consolidated network to support its ongoing expansion within the competitive K-12 connectivity sector.
