Organized by the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (PROCOMER), the summit at the Costa Rica Convention Center will facilitate over 3,200 business meetings. The agenda moves beyond traditional conferences, offering international participants curated tours of free trade zones and direct access to local suppliers in fields ranging from medical devices and digital technology to agribusiness.
Costa Rica Prepares to Host Region’s Largest Trade Summit
More than 400 buyers and investors from over 40 countries are set to descend on San José this September for the second annual Costa Rica Trade & Investment Summit. Running from September 1–4, the event aims to bridge the gap between global capital and the nation’s rapidly expanding export sector.

PROCOMER CEO Laura López emphasized that the primary objective is to move beyond networking toward tangible business integration. Following a successful 2025 debut that saw 337 buyers and 170 investors participate, the country enters this year with significant momentum. Costa Rica reported US$22.855 billion in goods exports for 2025, marking a 14% increase, with multinational corporations driving 80% of that value. For firms looking to establish or expand operations, the summit serves as a high-stakes proving ground for Costa Rica’s competitive landscape.
