To manage the high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPIs) essential to ADC development, the facility maintains an occupational exposure limit of 5 ng/m³ within its high-containment zones.
Altruist Biologics Secures Trilateral Approval for Hangzhou ADC Facility
The Hangzhou production site of Altruist Biologics has become the first of its kind to secure three provincial regulatory approvals for the segmented manufacturing of antibody-drug conjugates. This milestone validates the company’s unified quality and risk-management systems, positioning the facility for expanded commercial-scale output in the competitive bioconjugation sector.
Beyond production capacity, the Hangzhou plant integrates automated, isolator-based aseptic filling systems and large-scale lyophilization units. According to Dr. Kaisong Zhou, CEO of Altruist Biologics, the regulatory clearance reinforces the firm’s ability to handle complex bioconjugate projects from pre-IND stages through to Phase 3 and process performance qualification.
