Lynk Pharmaceuticals Begins Phase II Trials for Vitiligo Drug LNK01004

Lynk Pharmaceuticals has administered the first dose to a patient in a Phase II trial for LNK01004, a topical ointment aimed at treating vitiligo. The study evaluates the efficacy and safety of this soft pan-JAK inhibitor in adult patients across multiple research centers in China.

The randomized, double-blind study is spearheaded by Professor Jianzhong Zhang and Professor Cheng Zhou of Peking University People's Hospital. Unlike traditional JAK inhibitors, LNK01004 is engineered for skin-restricted distribution. By minimizing systemic exposure while maintaining potent inhibitory activity against inflammatory cytokine pathways, the drug seeks to balance therapeutic efficacy with a favorable safety profile.

Dr. Henry Wu, overseeing the research program, noted that the treatment addresses both the physical depigmentation and the psychological burden associated with vitiligo. Lynk Pharmaceuticals intends to use the data generated from this trial to support subsequent pivotal studies. Beyond vitiligo, the company is testing the ointment for chronic hand eczema, part of a broader development strategy that leverages AI-assisted design and protein degradation technologies to treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
