Jacksonville-based U.S. Legal Services is addressing this gap with College Defender, a new consumer plan providing families with direct access to attorneys for Title IX hearings, misconduct allegations, and campus-related litigation.
College Defender provides a document package to ensure parents retain necessary access to student records and health information once a student reaches the age of majority. Priced at 38.60 dollars per month, the subscription covers a wide spectrum of legal needs, including emergency arrest support and consumer contract disputes. While currently available in select states, the company plans to expand the offering to employer-sponsored benefits programs during the upcoming fall open enrollment season.
