The S22 technology targets patients suffering from severe tooth wear or loss who simultaneously present with Three-Depth Malocclusion, characterized by deep overbite, excessive overjet, and an exaggerated Curve of Spee. Dr. Lu Jingting of the development team explains that traditional restorative work often fails to address the underlying mandibular retrusion found in these patients. By prioritizing a stable mandibular position through three-dimensional repositioning before beginning definitive restorative rehabilitation, the system aims to create a more reliable foundation for long-term oral health.
Smartee Expands Mandibular Repositioning Tech into Prosthodontics
Smartee Denti-Technology has launched S22, a new clinical application of its GS Mandibular Repositioning Technology (GS MART) designed for occlusal reconstruction. Developed alongside Professor Gang Shen’s team at Taikang Dental Group, the system shifts the focus from simple tooth alignment to restoring functional occlusion in complex restorative cases.

This digital workflow serves as a bridge for interdisciplinary collaboration between orthodontists, prosthodontists, and general practitioners. Whether a patient begins their journey in a general practice or an orthodontic clinic, the S22 framework ensures that repositioning precedes the final restorative steps. Smartee intends to continue refining this digital pipeline to better integrate specialized dental roles, ensuring that complex occlusal conditions are managed through a coordinated, sequential treatment plan.
