EFICYENT and IME Link Nepal to Global Remittance Network

A new financial corridor established between Dubai-based EFICYENT and Nepal’s IME Limited now enables instant cross-border transfers to bank accounts and digital wallets. Formalized on June 29, 2026, the deal aims to streamline remittances for the Nepali diaspora by integrating real-time settlement capabilities directly into the local payment infrastructure.

The partnership leverages EFICYENT’s global financial platform to bypass traditional delays, allowing users to send funds that credit in real time. For recipients in Nepal, this means immediate access to capital through existing bank accounts or mobile wallets, marking a significant expansion for EFICYENT into one of South Asia’s primary remittance markets.

IME Limited, which has operated in the remittance sector since 2001, provides the local network density required for this integration. According to EFICYENT CTO Aravinth Ramesh, the collaboration focuses on scaling payout corridors to serve communities dependent on consistent, reliable money movement. Badri Katwal, General Manager at IME, noted that the move reinforces a two-decade-long effort to secure instant, convenient payout options for Nepali citizens globally. The infrastructure currently spans eight jurisdictions, utilizing local payment networks to facilitate these high-speed transactions.
