The project seeks to move oracle bone inscriptions from quiet academic archives into modern digital narratives and international public life.
Local authorities in Henan province view this as a pivotal step in their ongoing revitalization of the Yinxu site. Since its 2006 UNESCO recognition, Anyang has prioritized the interpretation of Shang civilization, recently highlighted by the 2022 discovery of a royal cemetery and the opening of the new Yinxu Museum. Future efforts include collaborative projects with the museum to expand the reach of these artifacts through interactive experiences and digital media, effectively rebranding an ancient cultural resource for a modern, international demographic.
