White Cap Expands Midwest Reach with Gierke Robinson Acquisition
A century of construction expertise changes hands as Atlanta-based White Cap signs a definitive agreement to acquire Gierke Robinson Company, Inc. The deal bolsters White Cap’s footprint across Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois, and Southwest Wisconsin, integrating a legacy distributor into its expansive North American supply network.

White Cap CEO Alan Sollenberger noted the acquisition leverages Gierke Robinson’s long-standing reputation to provide customers with a broader range of resources. Terry Kilburg, owner of Gierke Robinson, characterized the transition as an opportunity to scale the company’s traditional service model through White Cap’s larger infrastructure. The acquisition marks another step in White Cap’s ongoing consolidation of the specialty construction supply sector, where it already serves approximately 200,000 clients across non-residential and infrastructure markets.
