Stavropoulos arrives with a deep operational background, having previously served as chief operating officer for both Pacific Gas & Electric and National Grid. His career, which also includes a stint as chief financial officer of Colonial Gas Company, spans critical utility functions including regulatory affairs, supply chain management, and finance. During his tenure at PG&E, he managed large-scale restoration projects and established a reputation for prioritizing safety protocols.
ONE Gas Expands Board with Industry Veteran Nickolas Stavropoulos
Tulsa-based natural gas utility ONE Gas, Inc. has expanded its board of directors from eight to nine members, appointing 68-year-old industry veteran Nickolas Stavropoulos to the post effective July 13, 2026. The move brings over four decades of utility sector experience to the company's governance team.

Deborah A.P. Hersman, chair of the ONE Gas board, noted that his proven leadership and background in utility operations will provide significant value to the company’s shareholders. Beyond his executive roles, Stavropoulos holds an MBA from Babson College and currently serves on the board of Ameresco. ONE Gas, a fully regulated utility, continues to serve more than 2.3 million customers across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
