Ensora Health Expands Fusion EHR Capabilities for Adult Physical Therapy

Ensora Health is broadening the scope of its Fusion EHR platform, introducing specific features designed to handle the operational demands of adult physical therapy. By integrating protocol-driven documentation and MIPS reporting, the company aims to support clinics transitioning from pediatric-focused care to a wider demographic of adult patients.

Ensora Health Expands Fusion EHR Capabilities for Adult Physical Therapy

The expansion introduces three core functionalities aimed at streamlining clinical workflows for adult physical therapy practices. New time-based documentation tools allow for the auto-population of CPT codes and CMS-aligned modifiers, while native MIPS reporting ensures that quality data is captured directly within the clinician’s existing workflow. Additionally, an integration with Wibbi embeds home exercise programs and remote therapeutic monitoring directly into the patient’s chart, eliminating the need for therapists to switch between disparate software applications.

Kevin Smith, senior vice president of Therapy Solutions at Ensora Health, noted that many practices currently struggle with software that is either too narrow in scope or too broad to be effective. Fusion, which already manages physical, occupational, and speech therapy within a single patient record, seeks to solve this by providing a unified infrastructure. These updates complement the platform’s existing AI Session Assistant, which uses ambient listening to automate documentation. With 77% of Fusion practices currently delivering speech therapy and 70% offering occupational therapy alongside physical therapy, the platform is positioned to assist growing clinics that require a scalable solution without the burden of migrating to new software as their patient base evolves.
