Agiloft Opens Astra AI Platform to All Users Without Waitlists

Agiloft has officially launched its Astra contract AI platform for general availability, removing previous waitlists and upfront costs. The tool targets legal, procurement, and finance professionals, promising to deliver actionable insights from contract portfolios within five minutes of the first session, regardless of the user's technical background.

The platform’s expansion follows an early access period that concluded in April. A central feature of the rollout is a free plan offering unlimited users and unrestricted access to the company's Microsoft Word Add-In. This allows teams to redline, review, and generate contract language directly within their existing workflows. Under the company's Clean Data Promise, Agiloft maintains that customer contract data is never utilized to train third-party AI models, addressing common enterprise concerns regarding data privacy.

Beyond standalone access, Agiloft has deepened the integration between Astra and its core Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software. Through the 'Ask AI' interface, users can now pull documents directly from their existing knowledge base for immediate analysis. New agentic capabilities also automate contract intake and record updates, replacing manual data entry processes that historically prone to error. Otto Hanson, VP of Product and GM of Astra, noted that the platform was designed to bridge the gap between complex contract data and the need for rapid business decision-making.

Practical applications for the tool include identifying auto-renewal windows for procurement teams, assessing compliance with new regulations like the EU AI Act, and calculating financial exposure from price escalation clauses. Rick Lackner, senior corporate counsel at The Imagine Group, reported that the software allowed his team to perform portfolio-wide analysis on supplier contracts in a fraction of the time required for traditional manual review.
