Century Lithium Shuffles Board Leadership

Dr. Corby G. Anderson has been named Chair of the Board of Directors at Century Lithium Corp., stepping into the role immediately to oversee the company’s ongoing development efforts in Nevada. He succeeds Bryan Disher, who held the position for three years and will now focus on his duties as Audit Committee Chair.

The leadership change marks a transition for the Vancouver-based firm as it navigates the permitting phase for its Angel Island project in Esmeralda County. Bill Willoughby, President and CEO, credited Disher with guiding the company through a period of critical technical and corporate growth. Willoughby expressed confidence in the transition, noting that the board remains focused on advancing the site toward the production of battery-grade lithium carbonate.

Century Lithium continues to develop its patent-pending extraction process, which utilizes hydrochloric acid leaching and direct lithium extraction. The company’s strategy for the Angel Island project relies on an integrated chlor-alkali system designed to produce sodium hydroxide as a co-product. By selling surplus reagents, the company aims to offset production costs and reduce the environmental footprint of its operations. Anderson, an independent director at the firm since 2023, now takes the helm as the company seeks to push the project further through the regulatory pipeline.
