This project represents the third major phase of ultra-cold infrastructure at the site, building on foundations laid in 2016 and 2020. Achieving these temperatures requires engineering far beyond the scope of conventional refrigeration, necessitating a custom-built environment designed by Consolidated Construction Company and Summit Refrigeration. The facility serves as a critical node for temperature-sensitive ingredients that require rigorous environmental control to maintain safety and integrity.
Central Storage & Warehouse Unveils New −70°F Facility in Wisconsin
A steady hum of specialized cooling equipment now defines the latest addition to Pleasant Prairie’s industrial landscape. Central Storage & Warehouse has officially commissioned a new ultra-cold expansion, pushing storage capabilities to a bone-chilling −70°F to serve the increasingly complex demands of the regional food manufacturing supply chain.

Co-CEO Hill Hamrick credits the rapid scaling of these operations to the company’s internal team culture, noting that the expansion aligns with a broader strategy of growing alongside long-term partners. By investing in these specific capabilities, the company aims to provide the necessary headroom for clients navigating volatile supply chains. Following the June 2, 2026, grand opening, this site now stands as a key asset in the firm's five-facility network, which has been evolving since its founding in 1947.
