Gorenje Transitions From FIFA World Cup Sponsor to Home Cooling Expert

Following Spain’s victory at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Gorenje is pivoting from its role as the tournament’s Official Cooling Sponsor to maintaining domestic comfort. The European appliance brand is now focusing its regional strategy on high-performance refrigeration and air conditioning to combat peak summer temperatures across the Middle East.

As the tournament excitement fades, Gorenje aims to sustain that momentum by emphasizing home environments. Fazalur Rahman, Regional Marketing Director for Hisense Middle East & Africa, noted that the company’s objective is to extend the sense of comfort and togetherness into the living space. By leveraging intelligent features and design, the brand seeks to keep households refreshed regardless of the heat outside.

The company is highlighting its NRB620 and NRS917 refrigerator series, which utilize Total NoFrost technology and expanded storage capacity for post-tournament entertaining. For climate control, the DION26IN MB air conditioner incorporates Full DC Inverter technology to balance energy efficiency with quiet operation. The lineup is rounded out by the IMC1200B ice maker, capable of producing 12kg of ice daily, designed to provide immediate relief for summer gatherings. These appliances represent Gorenje’s broader strategy to position its technology as a sanctuary against the demanding climates of the Middle East.
