PNC Wealth Management Debuts Securities-Based Lending for Premier Clients

Clients with at least $200,000 in assets at PNC Wealth Management can now tap into a new securities-based lending program designed to provide liquidity without forcing the sale of existing market investments. The service offers credit lines starting at $100,000 to cover expenses ranging from home renovations to unexpected tax obligations.

PNC Wealth Management Debuts Securities-Based Lending for Premier Clients

The initiative targets participants in the PNC Premier Client program, allowing them to leverage their pledged portfolios for immediate capital access. According to Rich Guerrini, president and CEO of PNC Wealth Management, the product is intended to serve as a financial buffer that prevents life's urgent costs from disrupting long-term investment strategies. The application process is integrated into the existing banking relationship, with evaluations available through Premier Client bankers in minutes.

Key features of the offering include interest-only repayment options and a streamlined, cost-free implementation process. Unlike traditional loans that might require liquidating assets, this model allows portfolios to remain fully invested. This rollout follows a series of recent enhancements to the bank’s retail offerings, including the Total Rewards loyalty program and updated digital account services. While the Premier Client experience focuses on individuals with $100,000 to $3 million in investable assets, PNC continues to operate a separate, distinct lending program for ultra-high-net-worth clients under the PNC Private Bank brand.
