Solar Energy World Jumps to Fourth Place in National Solar Rankings

Rising from the sixth spot, Solar Energy World has secured its position as the fourth-largest residential solar installer in the United States. The Maryland-based company achieved this growth by expanding its installed capacity by over 30 percent in 2025, a year marked by a surge in consumer demand for renewable energy.

Solar Energy World Jumps to Fourth Place in National Solar Rankings

The company’s climb on the annual Top Solar Contractors List follows a significant shift in the market, as homeowners rushed to utilize federal clean energy credits before they expired at the end of 2025. By scaling internal operations and utilizing the resources provided by its owner, Comcast, the firm increased its total output to 40.95 MW of solar power last year. This operational expansion allowed the business to maintain its service standards while managing the spike in project volume.

CEO Peter Belman attributes the company's stability to its in-house business model and long-term financial backing, noting that many competitors have struggled or exited the sector entirely. With a workforce of 451 full-time employees, the company has now surpassed 300 MW of total installed capacity since its inception in 2009. The firm continues to differentiate itself through a 30-year warranty program and a focus on direct management of every project phase, from initial design to final installation.
