The deal combines Tadin’s 44-year legacy in botanical remedies with the established infrastructure of Grupo Chilero. Based in Vernon, California, Tadin will maintain its SQF-certified production facility and current personnel, ensuring the continuity of the products that established its reputation as a household staple. Margaret Crow, CEO of Grupo Chilero, stated that the move leverages the strength of their combined direct store delivery network to increase shelf presence for all three brands.
Grupo Chilero Acquires Tadin Herb and Tea to Expand Hispanic Market Reach
Grupo Chilero is bringing the nation’s top-selling Hispanic tea brand, Tadin Herb and Tea Co., into its portfolio. The acquisition unites Tadin with existing market leaders La Fiesta and Chef Merito, creating a consolidated powerhouse aimed at dominating the U.S. Hispanic food and beverage sector through an expanded distribution network.

For Tadin president Jose Gonzalez, the transition represents a strategic alignment of values. He noted that the partnership provides the necessary support to introduce their traditional herbal teas to a wider national audience while preserving the heritage established since the company's 1982 founding. Grupo Chilero now manages a diverse catalog including seasonings, marinades, and specialty teas, supported by a distribution system covering over 150 routes across the United States.
