Uzum Debuts on CNBC and Statista’s Global Fintech Rankings
Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem Uzum has secured a spot on the 2026 World’s Top Fintech Companies list, marking the first time a domestic firm has earned this recognition. Awarded in the Neobanking category, the company was selected by CNBC and Statista for its impact on digital financial services.

For the company, the inclusion highlights the rapid adoption of its integrated model. Over 6 million users currently utilize Uzum Bank cards, shifting away from standalone payment instruments toward an environment where financing, shopping, and money transfers function as a single, cohesive experience. Djasur Djumaev, CEO and Founder of Uzum, noted that this ecosystem approach allows the firm to scale rapidly while lowering barriers to modern financial tools across Uzbekistan. The recognition underscores a broader trend where embedded finance is becoming the primary driver for digital economic development in the region.
