Tiryaki Agro Targets Port of Tadjourah for Regional Trade Expansion
Tiryaki Agro and the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority have formalized a partnership to overhaul the Port of Tadjourah. This memorandum of understanding sets the stage for a potential long-term concession, aimed at turning the facility into a critical logistics gateway for food security in the Horn of Africa.

This move aligns with broader efforts backed by the International Finance Corporation, which has provided advisory support for feasibility studies and planning. Süleyman Tiryakioğlu, CEO of Tiryaki Agro, emphasized that the collaboration serves their long-term goal of fostering private sector-led growth. By upgrading the Tadjourah site, the partners intend to enhance supply chain resilience across the region, positioning the port as a cornerstone of future economic stability.
