Beko Retains Top Sustainability Ranking as 2025 Report Details Growth

For the third consecutive year, Beko has secured the top industry spot on TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies list. The achievement coincides with the release of the company's 2025 Integrated Report, which details a systematic shift toward decarbonized manufacturing and a circular approach to appliance production.

The report highlights a measurable transformation across Beko's global manufacturing footprint. In 2025, the company saved nearly 70,000 gigajoules of energy through efficiency projects and reached a 98.6% waste recycling rate across its facilities. By scaling its renewable energy capacity to 96 megawatts, the firm moved closer to its goal of full green electricity usage by 2030, while also recovering over 219,000 cubic meters of water through harvesting and efficiency initiatives.

Technological integration remains central to this strategy. Beko currently operates 13 smart factories, with plans to expand to 17 by the end of 2026. This digital evolution is anchored by the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network, which has recognized three of the company’s plants for their advanced production methods. The Ulmi facility, specifically, carries the rare Sustainability Lighthouse designation, a model currently being replicated across the company’s broader ecosystem.

Financial performance reflects these environmental shifts, with 72.6% of Beko’s 2025 turnover generated from low-carbon products. Consumer demand for energy-efficient appliances continues to drive this transition, supported by circular economy efforts that saw 148,000 refurbished units return to the market last year. CEO Can Dinçer emphasized that the company’s strategy prioritizes transparent, verifiable results over mere declarations, particularly as the industry prepares for upcoming global climate summits.
