NHL Figures Launch Inaugural India Hockey 360 Festival in Chandigarh
NHL broadcaster Randip Janda and Abbotsford Canucks assistant coach Harry Mahesh are set to headline the inaugural India Hockey 360 Festival in Chandigarh. Running from July 31 to August 2, the event aims to bridge the gap between North American expertise and India’s emerging grassroots hockey community through clinics and development summits.
Janda, the NHL’s first full-time South Asian color commentator, views the event as a vehicle for cultural exchange and professional mentorship. Mahesh will anchor the practical side of the initiative, leading player development sessions and a dedicated Coaches Summit designed to share the tactical philosophies currently utilized in the professional ranks. Public engagement begins August 1 at the Nexus Elante Chandigarh, followed by a full day of technical clinics and workshops on August 2 at the Sector 10 Rink.
