Newly appointed AGP-Europe CEO Alexander Kuzan emphasized that the company remains committed to decarbonization despite external pressures. The report outlines specific gains for both Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) and Ardagh Glass Packaging (AGP). Since 2020, AMP has cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 16%, while AGP achieved a 17% reduction in the same categories. Scope 3 emissions have also fallen, dropping 18% for AMP and 11% for AGP.
Material efficiency remains a core pillar of the strategy. AMP beverage cans now utilize approximately 76% recycled content, with the division successfully reaching a 100% Zero Waste to Landfill milestone across all production sites. AGP glass containers currently incorporate roughly 55% recycled glass. Renewable energy integration continues to scale, reaching 47% of electricity use for AMP and 25% for the glass business.
