Launched in 2023, the Employee Green Energy Program provides staff with technical guidance, education, and financial reimbursement to facilitate the switch to renewable power sources. The initiative addresses Scope 3 emissions directly at the source rather than relying on external environmental credits. To date, over 20% of the workforce has transitioned to green energy, effectively cutting the company's carbon output by more than 100 metric tonnes—a reduction comparable to planting 4,800 trees.
MobileFuse Wins Digiday CSR Award for Home Energy Initiative
When MobileFuse discovered that 44% of its carbon footprint originated from remote employees' home energy usage, the company bypassed traditional carbon offsets in favor of direct intervention. This strategy earned the firm the Best CSR Initiative title at the 2026 Digiday Media Buying & Planning Awards this week.

Pete Gonsiorowski, Director of Ad Quality at MobileFuse, noted that the company’s independently verified greenhouse gas inventory reports have been instrumental in identifying these high-impact areas since 2021. If employee participation reaches an 80% threshold, the company projects an annual reduction of over 259 metric tonnes of CO2. Beyond the environmental impact, the program has bolstered internal engagement and alignment with broader sustainability commitments, including the Science Based Targets initiative and membership in Ad Net Zero US.
