Total Play Telecomunicaciones added 121,572 net residential subscribers in the second quarter of 2026, leveraging its existing fiber optic network to meet rising demand. Revenue for the period reached Ps.11,360 million, a slight dip from the Ps.11,551 million recorded in the same quarter last year. The company’s residential segment showed resilience, with revenues climbing to Ps.9,983 million, driven by a 6% increase in the total user base to over 5.6 million subscribers. CEO Eduardo Kuri noted that the company successfully optimized its fiber infrastructure to accommodate this growth without the need for additional geographic investment.

Contrasting the residential gains, enterprise revenue fell 16% to Ps.1,377 million, attributed to the completion of several fixed-duration projects. Financial performance was further impacted by a decrease in foreign exchange gains, contributing to the quarterly net loss. However, management emphasized a strengthened capital structure, highlighting a 5% reduction in cost-bearing debt through strategic amortizations of senior notes and a 26% decrease in lease liabilities. EBITDA for the quarter stood at Ps.5,074 million, maintaining a 45% margin, while operating profit improved to Ps.654 million from Ps.495 million in the prior year.
