Chartwells K12 Launches Pizza Daze Promotion for 2026-27 School Year

With 98% of students naming pizza as a top food preference, Chartwells K12 is transforming school lunchrooms into neighborhood pizzerias. The company’s latest campaign, Pizza Daze, runs from August 3 through November 1, introducing experimental toppings and global flavor profiles to cafeteria menus across the United States.

The initiative aims to engage Gen Z and Gen Alpha students through culinary innovation rather than standard cafeteria fare. New menu additions include Popcorn Chicken with Hot Honey, Dill Pickle Ranch, and international variations such as Korean Beef Bulgogi and Roasted Jerk Chicken. These offerings align with the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program guidelines, ensuring districts maintain nutritional compliance while refreshing their lunch options.

Beyond traditional slices, the program incorporates interactive elements like the Build Pizza Student Choice experience, allowing students to customize their meals. Ashley Kakas, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Chartwells K12, noted that the campaign seeks to provide an exciting twist on a familiar staple. Supporting the culinary shift, Chef Peter Gilhooly emphasized that the variety of formats—ranging from calzones to handcrafted flatbreads—is designed to prevent the monotony often associated with institutional dining. The campaign will culminate in schoolwide celebrations during National School Lunch Week this October.
