The integration allows Causaly’s AI agents to process entire research papers, including methodological nuances, statistical tables, and supporting data. Previously, scientists often struggled with the inefficiency of purchasing multiple documents only to find few relevant to their specific queries. Now, the platform performs relevance analysis on full-text content before a user commits to a purchase or access path, accelerating the path from hypothesis to insight.
Causaly and Sage Integrate Full-Text Science for AI Drug Discovery
Researchers can now bypass the fragmented hunt for relevant data through a new partnership between Causaly and academic publisher Sage. By integrating full-text articles from over 400 journals directly into Causaly’s agentic AI platform, the collaboration aims to sharpen the precision of evidence-backed drug discovery.

Marco Costa, COO at Causaly, emphasized that providing a single environment for both evidence and scientific reasoning is a critical demand from their users. For Sage, the move represents a strategic push to place verified academic content directly into active research workflows. Customers with existing Sage subscriptions can navigate seamlessly from AI-extracted insights to the full source material. Those without current access gain the ability to evaluate an article’s utility through an in-platform snapshot, reducing wasted expenditure on irrelevant papers.
