Hop-on Sets August Launch for Digitalage Live Pass Monetization

Targeting a shift from infrastructure development to commercial operation, Hop-on subsidiary Digitalage will introduce its Live Pass feature this August. The new model allows creators and rights holders to sell access to individual live events directly to audiences, bypassing the need for recurring monthly subscription commitments.

The company plans to set an initial price point of $9.99 per event, with creators receiving 85% of defined net proceeds. This payout structure follows the deduction of mandatory costs, including app-store commissions, payment processing, and applicable taxes. Features for viewers include interactive chat, live rewind, and five-day replay access, depending on specific broadcast terms.

Digitalage has spent recent months deploying its media architecture, which includes AI-assisted tools, content verification, and automated transcription. Since launching its public platform in May and securing Apple App Store approval for its iOS application in June, the company has focused on onboarding creators across sports, news, and faith-based programming. According to Peter Michaels, Sr., CEO of Hop-on, the Live Pass model is designed to ensure that audience relationships remain with the creators rather than being dictated by platform algorithms.
