FAR.AI Expands Safety Research with New Singapore Hub

The Singapore office will function as the organization's Asia Center of Excellence, building on established partnerships with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the Cyber Security Agency (CSA), and the National University of Singapore. Chief Growth Officer Edward Yee cited the city-state’s institutional depth and technical ambition as the primary drivers for selecting Singapore as the organization's first base outside the United States. Previous joint efforts include research into agentic AI security and presentations at the Singapore International Cyber Week.

Practical application remains the core of this expansion. FAR.AI is currently partnering with the IMDA to conduct technical assessments on the persuasive behaviors of chatbots, aiming to provide evidence-based insights for future policymaking. This work mirrors the organization's broader mandate, which includes leading safety research for the European Commission regarding the EU AI Act. By embedding itself within Singapore’s ecosystem, FAR.AI intends to scale its research into CBRN risk modeling and system evaluations, ensuring that the development of advanced AI remains aligned with rigorous safety standards.
