Destinus Advances to Field Trials in European Sentinel Strike Challenge
The European Defence Agency has shortlisted Destinus as one of the top five applicants in its Sentinel Strike Challenge, tasking the developer with field-testing its loitering munitions. This selection moves the company into a critical operational experimentation phase scheduled for this autumn at the Santa Margarida Military Training Area in Portugal.
Run by the Hub for European Defence Innovation, the challenge aims to generate standardized performance data for the next generation of loitering munitions. While the company secured its spot based on the strength of its technical proposal, the Portuguese exercise serves as the definitive stress test. Results from these field demonstrations will be presented at the EDA Annual Conference in early 2027.
