These locations serve as a strategic hub for operations covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Western Montana, and Alaska. Among the assets is a 45-foot kettle—the largest of its kind in the region—and a recently commissioned 38,000-square-foot facility dedicated to spin galvanizing for smaller metal components.
AZZ Expands Into Pacific Northwest With Seattle Galvanizing Buyout
Fort Worth-based AZZ Inc. has acquired Arlington-based Seattle Galvanizing Company, marking the firm's first major foray into the Pacific Northwest. The deal adds two specialized facilities to the company’s portfolio, bringing its total North American galvanizing network to 43 sites and securing a dominant foothold in the regional market.

AZZ leadership expects the transaction to be accretive to earnings within the first year. While financial terms remain private, the move is designed to capture growing industrial and construction demand across the Northwest. Todd Bella, president of AZZ Metal Coatings, noted that the integration aims to maintain the high service standards established by the company’s predecessor, which has operated since 1962. The business will now trade under the name AZZ Galvanizing – Seattle LLC.
