Mili and Global Relay Integrate AI Meeting Records into Compliance Flow

Wealth management firms face a mounting regulatory challenge as AI-generated meeting notes proliferate, prompting a new partnership between AI platform Mili and compliance provider Global Relay. By integrating through the Global Relay Open Connector API, firms can now automatically archive AI-produced advisor records to meet strict federal recordkeeping mandates.

The collaboration arrives as the financial sector grapples with the rapid adoption of generative tools. According to the 2026 T3/Inside Information Software Survey, 43% of advisors now utilize AI meeting solutions. This shift has drawn intense scrutiny from regulators, including FINRA, which maintains that existing rules—such as SEC Rule 17a-4 and FINRA Rule 4511—apply to AI-generated output just as they do to traditional email and voice communications.

Global Relay’s 2025/26 data reveals a nearly 3,000% surge in ChatGPT capture volume across 12,000 financial institutions, highlighting the urgency for automated oversight. For firms that have seen the SEC levy over $2 billion in penalties since 2021 for off-channel communication failures, the new integration offers a way to formalize supervision without interrupting the advisor-client dynamic. Mili CEO Chirag Gandhi noted that the partnership ensures AI-generated content lands in the firm's archive automatically, shielding advisors from manual compliance burdens during meetings.
