Laureus Sport for Good USA has officially launched a Dallas-based initiative aimed at strengthening the city’s youth sport ecosystem. To ensure measurable impact, the organization partnered with Southern Methodist University’s CORE research center to establish baseline data and long-term evaluation metrics. Ben Schornack, executive director of Laureus USA, noted that the initiative builds on years of existing relationships with local leaders. The launch is supported by founding funders including Lyda Hill Philanthropies and the Sixth Street Foundation, with Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson participating in the inaugural events to highlight the role of sport in fostering youth development.
