Intelligence specialists and engineers identify critical bottlenecks—such as distillation columns—that are difficult for Moscow to replace due to reliance on Western components. When these components are struck, the resulting production halts can last weeks, compounding the economic strain on the Russian war budget.
Intelligence-Driven Warfare
Beyond the hardware, the success of these missions hinges on intelligence integration. Czech military expert Lukáš Visingr notes that drone launches are merely the final step in a process involving Western reconnaissance data and real-time mapping of Russian air-defense gaps. Russia’s geographic scale, once a tactical advantage, has become a liability; the inability to maintain a 100-percent coverage net allows low-flying drones to exploit blind spots. Furthermore, the use of decoy aircraft and massive, synchronized waves of drones forces Russian air defenses to expend limited interceptor stocks on low-value targets, clearing the path for high-precision strikes.
