Healthcare contact center managers can now bypass engineering support to update phone greetings, outage alerts, and FAQ responses instantly. Woburn-based Parlance launched these self-service tools alongside an AI-driven handoff feature, designed to eliminate redundant data collection when calls are transferred to human agents across 400 health systems nationwide.

Beyond administrative control, the platform addresses the friction of transferring patients to live staff. When a call moves to a Webex Contact Center Agent Desktop, the system pushes a verified patient record—including name, date of birth, and record match status—directly to the agent. An AI-generated summary accompanies this data, detailing the caller’s intent and previous interactions. According to Nikki Ballinger, manager of solutions engineering, this process removes the need for patients to repeat information, effectively ending the "cold start" dynamic that frequently slows down clinical support teams.
