Banyan Group has expanded its flagship hospitality footprint in China with the launch of Banyan Tree Mount Emei. Located in the foothills of Sichuan’s revered sacred mountain, the 130-room resort integrates contemporary architecture with the natural topography of a forested valley, offering direct access to the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Wellbeing and cultural immersion form the core of the guest experience. The Banyan Tree Spa provides hydrothermal treatments and signature therapies, while on-site activities include bamboo forest trails, Emei martial arts workshops, and traditional craft sessions. Culinary operations are divided between the Jiayao Chinese Restaurant, focusing on regional Sichuan and Cantonese fare, and the Mingyue all-day dining venue. For events, the property offers 1,200 square metres of space, anchored by the 500-square-metre Xiangzhang Ballroom and a dedicated Study Room designed by architect Zhuang Ziyu.
