Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing, noted that the anniversary serves as a gesture of gratitude toward the customers and staff who have sustained the company’s mission over the years. During the celebration, the company will donate 1% of all sales on August 13 to the Heroes in Aprons Fund, which assists employees facing unexpected financial hardship.

From August 13 to 15, 2026, Natural Grocers is celebrating seven decades in business with a three-day event featuring deep discounts and more than $184,000 in prizes. The Lakewood-based retailer, now operating 174 stores across 22 states, is marking the milestone with beach-themed festivities and community-focused giveaways.
The event includes price cuts of up to 52% on over 600 items for members of the company’s {N}power rewards program. Shoppers can participate in hourly prize drawings and enter to win a grand prize Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Additional activities include complimentary BBQ, snow cones, and popcorn served at various times throughout the three-day window. To accommodate the festivities, stores will extend their operating hours by 31 minutes on the final evening of the celebration.
