STX Adopts Eventus Validus for Real-Time Market Surveillance

As it nears a CFTC-regulated launch, prediction market exchange STX has deployed the Validus platform from Eventus Systems to manage trade surveillance. The integration aims to establish a high-integrity framework for sports and crypto event contracts, proactively identifying manipulative behaviors like spoofing and price ramping before the exchange goes live.

STX Adopts Eventus Validus for Real-Time Market Surveillance

STX Founder and CEO Justin Deutsch stated that the decision to implement surveillance infrastructure from the outset serves as a core commitment to market transparency. The Validus platform provides the exchange with tools to monitor for insider dealing, momentum ignition, and large trade anomalies, ensuring that participants compete on a level playing field. According to Deutsch, the technology allows the internal surveillance team to investigate unusual activity patterns and respond effectively as market conditions evolve.

The deployment arrives while STX advances its application for recognition by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission as both a Designated Contract Market and a Derivatives Clearing Organization. Eventus CEO Cameron Routh noted that the partnership reflects a broader trend among information markets to treat compliance as essential infrastructure rather than a secondary concern. The two companies have collaborated throughout the regulatory engagement process, with Eventus providing technical expertise to support the exchange’s upcoming production environment.
