The new offering, Optiv Agentic Security Operations, moves beyond traditional Managed Detection and Response (MDR) by utilizing AI to identify and mitigate risks before exploitation occurs. The service relies on Google’s threat intelligence for high-speed analysis and Wiz’s platform to map cloud exposures, misconfigurations, and attack paths. This integration provides practitioners with a unified view of asset vulnerabilities and business impact across the full threat lifecycle.
Optiv Launches Agentic Security Operations to Automate Threat Remediation
As cyberattacks accelerate in sophistication and velocity, Kansas City-based Optiv is pivoting its managed services model toward agentic AI. By integrating Google Security Operations with Wiz’s cloud exposure management, the firm aims to shift enterprise security from reactive alert monitoring to a proactive, automated risk-remediation framework.

Kathryn Hall, Optiv’s senior vice president of services, stated that the model is designed to compress years of incremental capability building, allowing organizations to reach an AI-ready security posture rapidly. By offloading manual SOC workloads to AI-assisted triage, the company claims it can improve detection quality while keeping human experts in the loop for final validation. Optiv is showcasing these capabilities this week at Black Hat 2026 in Las Vegas.
