Rackspace Technology Faces Securities Class Action Over AI Pivot

Investors who purchased Rackspace Technology shares between May 7 and July 8, 2026, are being urged to join a class action lawsuit against the company. The litigation, led by Schall, Brown & Schwartz LLP, targets alleged misleading statements regarding the firm's strategic shift toward enterprise AI at the expense of its core business.

The complaint alleges that Rackspace prioritized its enterprise AI initiatives while neglecting its profitable Private Cloud segment. This redirection reportedly led to a significant decline in revenue as customers migrated toward hyperscale platforms. Plaintiffs contend that management failed to disclose the severity of these market challenges, resulting in material losses for shareholders once the financial impact became public.

Shareholders have until September 28, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the action, which cites violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Brian Schall and David Schwartz of the Los Angeles-based firm are overseeing the case, emphasizing that investors who suffered losses during the specified period may be eligible for recovery. While the class has not yet been certified, those who do not take action will remain absent members of the potential class.
