Burger King Growth Fuels Restaurant Brands International Q2 Gains
Restaurant Brands International reported a strong second quarter for 2026, underscored by a 6.4% rise in system-wide sales. Driven by a standout performance from the Burger King brand and robust international expansion, the company confirmed it remains on track to hit its 8% organic adjusted operating income growth target for the year.

Financial health remains a priority, as the company returned $435 million to shareholders through a combination of dividends and share repurchases. While the company continues to navigate the refranchising of restaurants acquired from Carrols Restaurant Group, the broader international segment remains a key pillar, contributing to the overall growth. Looking ahead, the firm maintains its long-term algorithm, projecting at least 3% comparable sales and 8% organic adjusted operating income growth through 2028.
