The grand opening event kicks off a week of promotions designed to integrate the brand into the local market. Beyond the initial giveaway, the location will host themed daily specials, including branded beanies, tumblers, and coolers for early patrons. The Morganton restaurant will maintain regular operating hours from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, offering dine-in, takeout, and catering services.
Chicken Salad Chick Expands North Carolina Footprint to Morganton
The first 100 guests in line at the new Morganton Chicken Salad Chick on August 19 will receive free chicken salad for a year. Located at 1016 Burkemont Avenue, the restaurant marks the second location for franchise owners Allison Anderson and Sunny Murtaza, who opened their first site in Hickory last year.

Anderson, who transitioned into the restaurant industry after a career in community engagement, views the expansion as a natural extension of her commitment to the region. The team is also leveraging the opening to support Casting for Hope, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to women battling gynecological cancers in North Carolina. This philanthropic effort aligns with the broader mission of the Chicken Salad Chick brand and its foundation, which regularly partners with groups like CURE Childhood Cancer.
