Representing Virginia Green were team members from the company's corporate headquarters and branches in Fredericksburg, Dulles, and Manassas. Carl Davis, who coordinated the company’s involvement, arrived at 6:00 a.m. to manage logistics and oversee the field operations for the Virginia Green contingent.
Virginia Green Crews Maintain Grounds at Arlington National Cemetery
Under the humid Virginia sun last month, associates from Virginia Green joined landscape professionals from across the country at Arlington National Cemetery. The team spent the day applying 1,232 bags of lime to the historic grounds, marking the 30th anniversary of this annual industry-wide volunteer tradition.
Gil Grattan, President and CEO of Virginia Green, described the participation as a core reflection of the firm's local values. Grattan noted that the company, which has operated in the region since 2004, views such volunteer work as an essential extension of its professional identity beyond standard lawn care services. The team’s contribution serves as a recurring commitment to honor those interred at the cemetery through specialized landscape maintenance.
