The acquisition follows C-IV’s recent agreement to purchase Greystone’s special servicing business, marking a concentrated effort by Island Capital to capture value from shifting market conditions. By bringing NAI Global into the C-IV portfolio, the firm gains a sprawling network of 325 offices and 5,800 professionals spanning 65 countries. This move enhances C-IV’s reach in capital markets, property management, and leasing, while maintaining the localized operational model that defines the NAI brand.
Island Capital Group Consolidates NAI Global Under C-IV Capital Partners
In a move to strengthen its commercial real estate services, Island Capital Group has transferred ownership of NAI Global to its affiliate, C-IV Capital Partners. The transaction, which finalized on July 31, signals a strategic pivot by the merchant banking firm to integrate brokerage and advisory platforms under a single entity.

Andrew Farkas, CEO of Island Capital Group, noted that the integration is designed to address current market volatility. With commercial real estate mortgage default rates hitting 14-year highs, the firm aims to leverage its history of managing over $350 billion in assets to navigate a cycle defined by rising interest rates. For NAI Global, the leadership transition ensures continued access to institutional-grade resources while preserving the independence of its locally managed offices, according to NAI Global President Alex Waddey.
