Hivelocity Automates Server Setup with New One-Click App Store
Tampa-based infrastructure provider Hivelocity has introduced an integrated App Store within its myVelocity portal, allowing clients to deploy over 30 applications automatically. By shifting the burden of installation and security hardening from the user to the platform, the company aims to reduce server configuration time to under 15 minutes.
Chief Product Officer Ned Pope noted that the objective is to minimize technical friction, allowing clients to focus on their core workflows rather than infrastructure maintenance. The service is available at no extra cost for new or reloaded servers. While designed to streamline initial deployments, the system remains optional, ensuring existing configurations remain undisturbed for those who prefer manual management.
