The new terminal facility utilizes a hybrid layout designed to support advanced hardware, including Double-Trolley Quayside Container Cranes, Automated Rail-Mounted Gantry Cranes, and Automated Guided Vehicles. By centralizing management of berth, yard, and gate operations, the system aims to streamline workflows across the entire terminal environment. IGCT, the venture operating the site, includes stakeholders such as Hanjin Logistics, Sun Kwang, E1, KMTC, HMM, and the Incheon Port Authority.
CyberLogitec to supply software for Incheon’s first automated terminal
Incheon Global Container Terminal has tapped CyberLogitec to deploy its OPUS Terminal software for the port’s Phase 1-2 expansion. This project marks the first fully automated container facility in South Korea, integrating complex crane and vehicle systems into a unified digital platform ahead of its 2028 commercial launch.
CyberLogitec brings experience from previous international deployments, including work at TTI Algeciras in Spain and Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait. The company intends to leverage this project to solidify its position in the domestic smart port market, focusing on automated equipment integration and real-time operational planning.
