Under the direction of principal broker Jeffrey Finn and senior managing broker John S. Finn Jr., the firm has secured its position as Virginia’s largest Black-owned real estate company. This national recognition from NAREB underscores a trajectory that has seen the brokerage earn accolades for both its market performance and its influence on community development. Jeffrey Finn credits the achievement to the collective efforts of the firm’s staff and agents, noting that the award aligns with the company’s broader mission of fostering economic opportunity.
United Real Estate Richmond Named a Top U.S. Black-Owned Brokerage
The National Association of Real Estate Brokers has named United Real Estate Richmond the third most productive Black-owned residential brokerage in the United States. The honor, presented at the organization’s 2026 national convention in Las Vegas, highlights the firm’s sustained business growth and its commitment to expanding minority homeownership.

The firm's operational success relies heavily on the decades of expertise brought by the Finn brothers. John S. Finn Jr., a licensed professional since 1976, holds a long list of industry distinctions, including induction into the Virginia REALTORS Hall of Fame and service as a former president of the Richmond Association of REALTORS. Today, the brothers manage a diverse portfolio that extends well beyond traditional brokerage, encompassing title and escrow services, construction, mortgage lending, and property management. Supporting more than 200 agents, the Richmond-based company continues to expand its footprint as one of the fastest-growing enterprises in the country.
